The Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, built in Ballard, WA from 1911 to about 1919 to link salty Puget Sound with the fresh waters of Salmon Bay, Lake Union, Portage Bay and Lake Washington, features some interesting concrete buildings. Click on pictures for larger image.
