Notes to the Architect:

  • The standard Control Covers are constructed of 18 gauge cold-rolled steel, with powder-coated baked enamel (black).

  • Mounting brackets are constructed of 11 gauge C.R. steel.

  • The Control Cover clamps to the flue tiles. You must have 3" or more of exposed flue liner or order the special mounting base for chimneys with no flue liners.

  • The standard mounting bracket slips over a non-curved side of a flue liner with a maximum 1-1/4" wall thickness. Any flue liner with a thicker wall or curved wall requires a mounting bracket modification.

  • The Control Cover opens approximately 85 degrees. It is powered by a torsion spring biased toward the open position.

  • Hinge clearance - allow 2-1/2" per flue liner
