Screens big enough or tall enough for our Rumford fireplaces are hard to find. Here is a simple, traditional and functional style in either rectangular or arched top and with a three panel option, solid steel frame finished in black.

Draw Screens
We are not especially fond of standard draw screens. They bunch up at the sides of the fireplace blocking the opening and the track at the top can interfere with the laminar air flow under the Rumford throat. Sometimes, however, draw screens are the best solution. They are self-storing, can be fitted behind doors without integral screens and are inexpensive.
With a little planing even the bunching and air flow interference can be avoided by surface mounting the draw screen within a recessed panel or on an inner surround.
