Buckley Rumford Fireplaces are certified by the state of Washington. They were tested for particulate emissions by OMNI Environmental Services and demonstrated to be in compliance with Washington State UBC Standard 31-2(WAC 51-30-31200 section 3102.5.4). "Particulate emission factor results are less than the Washington State standard of 7.3 g/kg," as reported by OMNI, with or without glass doors. Certified Buckley Rumford fireplaces may be used, just as any other certified wood-burning appliance, even on Stage I burn-ban days in the state of Washington. Complete test results are reported at the end of this Manual.

In order to qualify for any warranty claims and to be in compliance with Washington State emissions regulations cited above, your Buckley Rumford Fireplace must be built using the construction specifications and certified core components specified in this Manual.

In addition to the Washington State emissions regulations, all materials used to build Buckley Rumford fireplaces, as specified in this Manual, meet or exceed the appropriate ASTM and ICBO standards.

Buckley Rumford Fireplaces specified in this Manual meet or exceed the requirements for masonry fireplaces set forth in Chapter 31 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code and the Washington Indoor Air Quality Code.

Washington-certified Buckley Rumford Fireplace Core Units are assembled in Washington. Each Certified Core has been inspected to make sure it is complete and in compliance with the Washington State emissions regulations as indicated by the label affixed to the door frame. A unique serial number is assigned to each Certified Core Unit and the date and place of sale is recorded. To complete the certification the mason who builds the Buckley Rumford fireplace must fill out the Registration Forms below and return one to the Buckley Rumford Co.

Homeowner, please read "Building a Fire in Your Rumford Fireplace" and keep this Manual with your copy of the Registration and Warranty. Refer to the serial number below if you need or want to contact us with any questions or problems or if you'd be kind enough to just let us know how you like your Rumford.
