|A recent discussion among Masonry Heater Association members about insulating under a heater is good advice for insulating under an oven too. Between Stephen Bushway, Alex Chernov and Martin Pearson the consensus is to use Pittsburgh Corning Foamglass which is a ridgid structural insulation like styrofoam,but using glass w/H2S gas, rigid and good for 90 psi. - Jim Buckley
