Crib size determined by Draft Method algorithm: Firebox "adjusted" volume = 5.09 cu.ft. at 25% a loading factor means each of two cribs has a volume of 1.2725 cu.ft. (2,199 cu.in) or, using a 15% loading factor, 0.7635 cu.ft. (1,320 cu.in.)
Using the 15% loading factor should result in crib weights of about 30 pounds.

Yet weight of fuel in run numbers 7-12 are around 15 to 19 lbs.

Hearth dimensions of the 36" masonry fireplace are as follows. In the shape of a trapezoid the rear is 24" and the front is 36". Depth front to back is 17". Height to the opening is 24".

Opening Area - 864 sq.in. (6 sq.ft.)
Fuel crib loading factor of 4 x 6 sq.ft. would be 24 lb.
