In spite of the new SCAQMD Rule 445 and all the correspondence with Michael Laybourn about the rules in Los Angeles, we heard today from a customer that the City of Los Angeles is still permitting wood-burning fireplaces and "it might take two years to implement Rule 445."

Well, so much for government rules, I guess. As we have said elsewhere, always start by assuming that you can build a wood-burning Rumford and apply for a permit. You might get it.
